FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

If you can’t find an answer to your question here please write to us. We would prefer to speak with you directly than to leave an inquiry unanswered.

What ages is the Forest Camp for?

Roughly 3 to 12.

What languages do you run the day in?

Most of our instruction is in French, with English sprinkled through. All three educators are bilingual, so both French- and English-speaking children are absolutely at home.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We run in all weather except genuinely dangerous conditions (thunderstorms, very high winds). We choose sheltered base camps on worse days, and we share the exact location the evening before depending on forecast.

Is lunch provided?

Lunch is held in common between 12:00–13:00. Children booked for the morning, afternoon or both are welcome to stay. Forest Camp does not provide food: please send your child with their own lunch, snacks and drinks for the day.

What does my child need to bring for a day in the forest?

Please drop your child off with a backpack (we walk with it, and we can’t carry every child’s bag). Inside, pack a full change of clothes (for water, accidents…), a water bottle, a snack for each half-day they’re with us, and lunch if your child is eating with us. For hot days: a cap, sun cream and sunglasses. For rain: boots and a waterproof. For cold: proper shoes, a coat, gloves and a hat.

My child has allergies / dietary needs / medical notes. Is that OK?

Yes, always. Please share everything at booking and we’ll adapt. All our educators hold paediatric first aid and we carry full kits.

Do you take photos of the children?

Only with your explicit consent at booking, and we never tag children’s names. You can say no and it changes nothing about your child’s day.

Can parents drop off and pick up at different times?

Drop off times are at 09:00 for the morning session and 12:00 or 13:00 for the afternoon session. Pick up times are at 12:00 or 13:00 for the morning session and 16:00 for the afternoon session.

How do I book?

You can book online — head to the Booking page to reserve a camp now. If the dates you want are full, add yourself to our email list and we’ll let you know when the next camps open.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Full refunds will be made up to one week in advance. There is the possibility to transfer the booking to a future date up to 24 hours in advance. Unless cancellation is due to illness or a valid reason, no refund will be made under 24 hours’ notice.
